Great beer garden with a great view, unfortunately a meager menu with overpriced prices (2 to 3 euros more than what is advertised on the Internet) the food was so far in order other 2 were friendly !!!! And the schnitzel is also less than 200 grams as described. All together not to be recommended unless you are just thirsty.

After a strenuous hike from Schnaittach to Rothenberg, we were looking forward to a good lunch today. According to the information on the Internet, it is open daily from 11 a.m. Unfortunately, a delicious menu was posted, but the inn was closed. There was also no note on the door that the inn was closed. Pity!

Great view, really worth seeing! Very nice destination for bike tours. Quiet, manageable beer garden with Franconian food and very friendly service.

On a sunny Sunday noon, in the beer garden for eating and drinking. Service was ok and nice. There were, among other things, sausages and sausages. I wanted to order bratwurst and I was told that they would only be available after midday🤔. I decided to go with the bread and bread. Spits came and the colleague served bridal sausages at the next table 😠! Etz I'm wondering where the problem is at lunchtime to sack the sausages when there is acid? When it came to the schnitzel, the breading was ragged and pale ... the bread to the corners was from the previous day! You can tell that Birkel's is in there! I was already disappointed. It's a shame that you break a great location with the quality of the food. Sorry ... we cannot recommend it !! Will definitely take us something to eat and drink for the next hike and take a classic break on a bench. Fam. Schmitt

If you visit the fortress in Schnaittach, a stop at the Berggasthof Rothenberg is recommended. The dining room is cozy and in summer there is a shady beer garden with a great view. With a little luck, you can also watch hang gliders in action. The food and drinks are plentiful and recommended! The service was very friendly!

Their Sheufele on Sunday is awesome... Sheufele is a Franconian/Bavarian specialty... Slow roasted pork shoulder... The BierGarten has a great view as well...

Worth every penny. After many years we were again in the Berggasthof Rothenberg. Modern but comfortable atmosphere, and really good tasting and visually appealing dishes. The map is quite manageable, but there should be something for everyone. Only the choice of beer could be bigger and better, especially since a superbly good microbrewery is less than a kilometer away. The food compensated for it but always.

Wonderful view of Schnaittach, in a quiet location, is almost immediately below the Rothenberg Fortress. You can drive directly to the mountain inn and park there. Recommended to park in the hiking car park and climb to the fortress. Then circle the mountain via the fortress cemetery and stop at the inn. The sunset is fantastic!

Nice and quiet restaurant with a great view of Schnaittach. The staff is friendly. Coffee and cake taste very good. Recommended.

Nice view of Schnaittach, quiet, about 5-10 minutes on foot next to the Rothenberg Fortress. You can drive directly to the mountain inn and park there. Likewise, I can leave the car down in the parking lot and walk. Also easy to reach by bike or stroller. The dessert was delicious.
